Our Story

GAIL was born from a simple observation: families are juggling too much. Between work, kids’ activities, and trying to put healthy meals on the table, something has to give. Usually, it’s either time, money, or nutrition, and sometimes all three.

We watched families navigate through 6+ different apps just to plan meals, compare prices, clip coupons, create shopping lists, and shop. We saw the rising cost of groceries forcing impossible choices between quality and affordability. We felt the frustration of spending hours each week on tasks that should be simple.

That’s when we asked ourselves: What if there was a single app that could do it all? What if AI could learn your family’s preferences, find the best prices automatically, and make healthy eating achievable again?

That idea became GAIL, a product of MagiqWorx, Inc., a company focused on building thoughtful, human-centered AI experiences.

About me

Minky Kernacs is the founder of GAIL and leads the company’s vision, product strategy, and technology development. With more than 20 years of experience in data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and security, she builds technology solutions that are both powerful and human-centered.

Her work focuses on creating intelligent systems that simplify everyday life while respecting people’s time, attention, and privacy. Minky is known for combining advanced technology with behavioral insight to design products that feel intuitive, engaging, and genuinely helpful.

She serves as Chair of the Arizona Technology Council’s AI Committee and sits on the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board, helping guide regional strategy around AI, technology innovation, and the future of work. A recognized thought leader in applied AI, she is passionate about ensuring emerging technologies improve everyday life for families and communities.

Ashish Badjatia

About me

Ashish Badjatia is a co-founder of GAIL and leads company operations and finance. He brings extensive experience working with early-stage technology startups, helping transform ideas into real, market-ready products.

Ashish has been deeply involved in the development and launch of a mobile application available on both the Google Play and Apple App Store. His work has spanned product design, cloud tools and analytics management, and the evaluation and integration of third-party technologies. He also successfully secured a registered trademark for the application through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In addition to his startup work, Ashish contributed to intellectual property development resulting in a U.S. patent. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia University.
